Hello All, I own 60 acres just north west of Big Tank Rd. The plan is to build a home, drill a well and retire there in a year or two. Would love to hear from anyone with info. Thanks

Dear Norm,
I would really like to get to know you. What plots do you have in Blue Quail lll? I have 21 and 22 and can send you a map (46.6 Acres). My holding is very small compared to yours. Would like to know about Water, and drilling. I am told it is about 500ft to good water. I also want to know who I can contact for water hauling for my tanks when I put them in. I will be coming in Jan or Feb of 2014. I am in Thailand now, teaching. I am at mccarthydennis89@yahoo.com if you want to contact me direct.
Thanks,
Dennis McCarthy

Re: Community

Hi Dennis, Good to meet future neighbors. I have been delayed in my research because my work got very busy. I have looked at the maps of the aquifer's in the area and also saw many reports of water at 500'. I suspect I will need to go deeper based off my location to the aquifers. My property, I just increased to 950 acres, is between FM1111 and Richardson Pass and between Gazette Rd and Johnson Run. I can post links to the aquifers and data that I have found. I will also contact you directly. I go over to my land as often as I can to slowly work at it. I plan on working another 8 years before retiring on my land so I'm taking it slow and steady. Thanks, Norm

Hello , Norm, I noticed your Sunset ranch post...and that you own the piece running along where mine is.... I do believe yours is next to mine. Since this is an older post, do you still own yours? I have been going out there for the last couple months fixing property for retirement also. Would be great to know if you are my future neighbor.

Hi Tammy, I do still own the land but haven't gotten back as much as I want to. Life in general has kept me pretty busy. I hope to be getting out there more often for 2016. I will keep an eye out for anyone I see and hopefully we will run into each other.

I have recently bought 20 acres on a ridge south of Big tank road. I currently live in the Houston area. I have a lot of questions and would like to make some friends. I will not be building for the next few years but would like some info to help with my planning. Is anyone willing to answer any questions.I will be visiting the property 2nd-3rd week of June.

I too just recently found a ad to purchase 20 acres in Silve Spur Ranches....seriously considering jumping on it. My plans are too do a earth ship building also.

My question to anyone out there...does anyone have access to a skid steer (aka bobcat) or something that can be used to bushhog or clear building spot? If so, post back. topdiggy2@live.com

We have owned 50 acres in Gunsight Ranch since the mid '80's. We left a trailer out there for years but the illegals broke in and burned it down one very cold winter. Beautiful country but take plenty of water and don't count on dialing 911.

We are meeting with tour guide tomorrow and will be asking about a grace period for payments, otherwise, we will call the office and check the contract again.

At that meeting , would you ask them to post a "copy" of a lease AND a PLAT , block and lot PLAT , OF WHAT THEY OWN,
I have done history on them, what brand of toilet paper they use, (example) property not in this location but elsewhere .
Thank you so much !!!
